Returns Policy – Changed Your Mind?

If you change your mind about the product when you receive it, you have 14 working days after delivery to return the item for a refund with prior notification via email to info@homeluxuries.ie. If the item is returned to us outside this period up to 28 days from dispatch of your order you will be charged a 25% restocking fee, returns are not accepted after the 28 day period.

This policy also covers when the customer has ordered products during construction and they don’t fit based on customers initial measurements. Please get your contractor/ plumber’s guidance before ordering as it will save annoyance on your part when something does not fit correctly.

It is your responsibility to ensure that returned goods reach us in perfect resalable condition, the packaging must not have been opened or marked – All returns are inspected – if the item is returned and not fit for resale (it has in-fact been opened or damaged in return transit) you will not be refunded and you will be required to collect the product to dispose of it.

For large pallet deliveries please be aware that the costs to send them back will be considerably higher than the price you were originally charged for delivery. If you cannot make arrangement to send the item back we can assist but are not bound to. We suggest that you take out carrier insurance on any items you send back to us, if an item has been damaged in return transit we will be unable to refund you but you can converse with your courier to cover the damaged items.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 / Returns

Irish consumers now have the right to cancel their order within a “cooling off period”, this “cooling off period” is 14 working days starting the day after delivery. Cancellation must either be in the form of email or letter and sent to our address as listed on the contact page of this site. If you cancel your order under these provisions then you will be responsible for returning the goods to us in good condition or alternatively you will be responsible for our costs in recovering the goods. You must make sure the goods remain undamaged and unused.

Returns Policy – Faulty Goods

All products supplied by Home Luxuries come with a 12 month retailer’s guarantee. Any guarantee periods longer than this quoted on the website for particular products are provided by the manufacturer and are not in any way endorsed or backed by Home Luxuries. We will provide you the information to report your faulty goods, they will ask to see images or videos before offering advice. We pass on manufacturers warranties in good faith but we do not endorse them and they form no part of your contract with Home Luxuries. For the avoidance of doubt if the manufacturer becomes insolvent you accept that the additional guarantee is lost.

In the event that you are not satisfied with the service they provide then please contact us and we will endeavour to resolve any problems for you. Please contact info@homeluxuries.ie to discuss any problems.

In the event of a faulty item being installed before reporting it to Home Luxuries, this will void any warranty provided from the manufacturer and as a result Home Luxuries will not be able to replace or return the faulty item.

All faults are required to be reported to the manufacturer if you are unable to make contact we will endeavour to assist you but we are not bound to, at this time, we will liaise with you in assisting a quick resolution informing you of the individual requirements of the manufacturer, returns are tested and if the item proves not to be faulty when tested you will not be reimbursed for the collection and return of your item, in addition you will be charged any fee deemed by the manufacturer that has been previously arranged, this is in no way part of your contract with Home Luxuries.

In most instances, you don’t need to return faulty goods to us, images and videos can be emailed through and the supplier will be able to see the faulty item that way .You will be charged the actual cost of the redelivery of the new item if they send a replacement to us.

REFUNDS

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
